Pitch in

We’ve been humbled and given hope by the many people – family, friends and complete strangers even – who have asked how they can help.

This page is our answer.

IN AUSTRALIA

1. Sponsor a strainer post

Without fences we don’t have a farm and can’t feed or care for our sheep, cattle and horses.

What we need most are strainer posts ($38.50 each), stays ($26 each) and wire ($192.50 per 1500 metres of 2.5 guage).

If you can help by donating money, just use your bank’s online facilities as you would normally.

Two local outlets will accept online payments on our behalf:

Account number 497027873

Please use the reference JEFFERSON and then your last name. If your bank does not accept a name in the reference box, simply use the number 1234.

Alpine Steel

Account number 171285

Please use the reference JEFFERSON and then your last name. If your bank does not accept a name in the reference box, simply use the number 1234.

2. Volunteer a little help

Volunteers are making all the difference for us, as we struggle to recover, on top of our normal day-to-day farming work.

We need help with recovery work such as:

  • assessing damage
  • securing boundary fences
  • finding lost livestock
  • repairing critical infrastructure
  • assessing and feeding injured animals
  • finding temporary agistment for our stock
  • land regeneration, and
  • co-ordinating with emergency and other Government services.

If you have some knowledge or experience in these areas or would simply like to lend a hand, please call us on (02) 6454 6434.

OVERSEAS

Thanks to family and friends overseas who have contacted us to offer support. We have set up a Paypal account which you can use.
